A Survey may be general in nature or required in relation to a particular defect or element.

A Building Survey may be required to give a comprehensive report on the condition of the building. Alternatively, a Schedule of Condition may be required to record the condition of the building at a particular time and would usually include a Schedule of Photographs. It may be prepared at the beginning of a Lease in order to record the condition of the building at that time.
